The Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes the importance of biotechnology, specifically bioindustrial manufacturing technology, to U.S. economic and national security. In celebration of National Biotechnology Month, the DoD would like to announce the Bioindustrial Manufacturing Innovation Institute (BMII) Proposers’ Day. The purpose of the Proposers’ Day is to familiarize potential proposers with the concept and vision for the BMII and the associated technology needs. This event is the only government-sponsored Proposers’ Day, and any industry-held events do not imply sponsorship, support, or selection by the U.S. government. This Proposers’ Day is for the purpose of information exchange only, attendance is not a prerequisite for submitting a proposal. It will provide, however, a valuable opportunity for potential proposers to ask questions and receive answers regarding the solicitation, as well as explore teaming opportunities. Participation is voluntary and free to attend. The Government will not reimburse the attendees for any cost associated with participation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to award any related contract/agreement associated with this event.
